It is the mission of the Applied Arts and Sciences Department to:
- Provide opportunities for educational, vocational, professional, social and cultural development for all students
- Create an innovative learning experience to meet diverse and changing needs
- Promote a sense of pride and achievement through the recognition of personal accomplishment in every student
- Enhance the quality of life by encouraging the development of life-long learning skills
- Identify and address social and economic opportunities and challenges
- Cultivate the human abilities to reason, solve problems, create and construct, using materials and technology imaginatively
- Encourage the appreciation for human worth and stress the importance of accepting responsibility for one's actions and one's success in family, work and life.
