The PHS Ski and Snowboard Club has established a good reputation and rapport with several tour groups, mountain ski resorts, and hotels that accommodate large student groups. The Club has traveled to Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine for weekend trips.
Downhill skiers and snowboarders of all abilities are welcome to join. Those who have the proper permission and medical forms signed and who have made full payment to the advisor are secured a spot on the trip on a first come-first served basis.
The Ski and Snowboard Club usually departs on a Friday after school and returns late Sunday evening. The cost per student for travel, meals, skiing and lodging averages between $200 - $300.
Students are responsible for furnishing their own ski equipment, although some assistance has always been offered through the advisor and staff. Students must follow school rules as well as all club rules. Adult chaperones accompany the group.
